She recently retired as the executive director <br /> of the Volcano Art Center and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Friends <br /> of Hawaii Volcanoes National Pazk. Ms. Nicholson was formerly the president of the Cooper <br /> Center Council, the treasurer of the Hawaii Museums Association, a board member of the <br /> Hawaii Island Aloha Festivals, and a boazd member of the County of Hawai`i's Cost of <br /> Government Commission. <br /> Ms. Nicholson states that she is a registered Democrat.
