No. 678 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> <br /> TIME: 11:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 678, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 678, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, dated <br /> September 17, 2007, authorizes the acceptance of donations as follows: <br /> 1. A monetary donation of $25 to the Department of Pazks & Recreation, to be used towards <br /> the maintenance of the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens, by The Fraternal Order of <br /> Eagles -Hilo Hawaii Aerie #3642. <br /> 2. Land clearing "In-kind" services, valued at $600, to the Hawaii Fire Department, <br /> leveling of an area for the fire truck shelter in Miloli`i Village, by Mr. Julio Resureccion <br /> dba J.R. Bulldozing & Land Clearing. <br /> In accordance with (I) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Chazter, which <br /> authorizes the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, <br /> and with (2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states <br /> that any donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> department of finance shall be submitted to the Council by letter for its approval. <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Hilo Hawaii Aerie #3642, <br /> 16-111 Opukahaia Street, Kea`au, Hawaii 96749; and Mr. Julio Resureccion dba J.R. <br /> Bulldozing & Land Clearing, P. O. Box 1077, Na`alehu, Hawaii 96772, acknowledging this <br /> generous donation. <br /> Your Committee on Finance recommends the acceptance of a $25 monetary donation from The <br /> <br /> Fraternal Order of Eagles -Hilo Hawaii Aerie #3642; and a $600 valued land clearing in-kind <br /> services from Mr. Julio Resureccion dba J.R.
