No. 343-07 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> <br /> TIME: 11:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 343-07, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 343-07, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 344-07 and Bill No. 178, <br /> <br /> transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 681, dated <br /> September 14, 2007, authorizes the acceptance of a donation in the amount of $49,900.00 from <br /> the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation to the Hawaii Fire Department. <br /> The funds will be used to purchase rescue equipment (valued at approximately $37,900) and to <br /> contract an instructor for the "Ropes Course I and II" (valued at $12,000) for the rescue <br /> personnel at the Waiakea and Kailua Stations. <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br /> County, may accept gifts or donations of money, securities, or other personal property or real <br /> estate or any interest in real estate. <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to The Daniel R.
