REQUEST: <br /> <br /> Amend Ordinance 07-82, the Operating Budget, to appropriate funds that were transferred, by resolution, <br /> from the Council contingency relief funds to the Housing Fund. <br /> <br /> $25,000 for the OSM - The Pahoa Homeless Program - 152.461.5466.38 <br /> <br /> $17,000 for the OSM - Hawaii Island Food Basket - 152.461.5466.39 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> Resolution 385-07, adopted on November 7, 2007, transferred $25,000 out of the Council District 5 <br /> Contingency Relief account and into the General Fund's Transfer to the Housing Fund. These monies are to <br /> be used by the Office of Housing and Community Development to establish a Pahoa Homeless Program. <br /> <br /> Resolution 420-07, adopted on November 20, 2007, transferred $17,000 out of the Council District 8 <br /> Contingency Relief account and into the General Fund's Transfer to the Housing Fund. These monies are to <br /> be used by the Office of Housing and Community Development for the purpose of supplementing the supply <br /> of food to Hawaii Island Food Basket (The Food Basket). <br /> Since these resolutions have already been adopted by Council, the Office of Housing and Community <br /> Development requests a waiver from Finance Committee and have this bill heard at the next Council <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SIGNED: DATE: <br /> Department Head <br />
