<br /> 14. Lifts and transports heavy objects such as desks, filing cabinets, tables, refuse
<br /> containers, and equipment.
<br /> 15. Washes and waxes outdoor furniture and planters.
<br /> 16. Cleans and washes woodwork, walls, draperies, blinds, windows, elevator walls,
<br /> doors, and light switches and covers indoors and outdoors.
<br /> 17. Cleans and polishes door hardware, mirrors, and other stainless steel and
<br /> chrome fixtures.
<br /> 18. Strips, waxes and polishes floors; shampoos carpets.
<br /> 19. May operate and maintain a vehicle in the performance of assigned tasks.

<br /> Groundskeeping (1,2) 15%
<br /> 1. Cleans and maintains grounds and parking areas adjacent to assigned buildings
<br /> including the general care and maintenance of lawns, trees, hedges, flowers,
<br /> shrubbery, walks, access roadways, and other planted areas by cleaning,
<br /> watering, fertilizing, spraying herbicide/insecticide, trimming, pruning, mowing ,
<br /> sweeping, and raking.
<br /> 2. Uses hand and power tools and cares for and maintains lawns, hedges, trees,
<br /> access roadways, and shrubbery by cleaning, watering, fertilizing, spraying
<br /> herbicide/insecticide, trimming, pruning, mowing, sweeping, and raking.
<br /> 3. Operates light motorized equipment such as power lawn mowers and hand
<br /> power tools such as edgers, trimmers and weeders. May make minor
<br /> maintenance repairs to such equipment.
<br /> 4. Cleans, adjusts, and replaces lawn sprinkler heads.
<br /> 5. Plants shrubbery and plants, sods lawns, and propagates plants and shrubs from
<br /> seeds, cuttings, and roots.
<br />
<br /> General
<br /> 1. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of simple operational reports and 5%
<br /> records.
<br /> 2. Assists in the various trades as required.
<br /> 3. Runs errands.
<br /> 4. Performs other related duties as assigned.

<br /> Special Working Conditions
<br /> This is a part-time 60% FTE (24 hours/week) position. Additional hours may be
<br /> added as the need arises.
