CURRENT TITLE PAY GRADE <br /> <br /> COMMENTS: <br /> Newly developed Isaac Hale Memorial Beach Park will require the addition of four (4) Water Safety <br /> Officer positions to provide lifeguard services for this single shoreline access development. Isaac Hale <br /> Memorial Beach Park is geographically remote, negatively affecting response times by Emergency <br /> Medical Services personnel. This necessitates the presence of on-site First Water Safety Officers to <br /> prevent and/or reduce the occurrence of injuries as well as to provide medical assistance, if needed. <br /> We anticipate 365 days of lifeguard coverage at this beach park. Lifeguard emergencies <br /> require a minimum of two (2) Water Safety Officers to render basic life support and provide back-up <br /> support at any given time. The creation of four (4) full-time Water Safety Officer II positions are <br /> required to meet the minimum coverage of two (2) Water Safety Officers for a single station (tower) <br /> daily, factoring in lost work hours due to in-service training, days of rest, public holidays, vacations and <br /> sick leave. <br /> We would like these positions to be established immediately. <br /> <br /> <br /> NOV 3 0 2007 <br /> <br /> DATE DEPARTMENT HEAD <br /> <br /> ?
