M~ <br /> ~~J' <br /> Idi~i <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ~ Of M~ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. ®8 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A CHLORINE RECOVERY VESSEL WITH WHEELS <br /> AND TWO (2) CHLORINE MANUALS TO THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, a Chlorine Recovery Vessel with Wheels and two (2) Chlorine Manuals are being donated <br /> to the Hawaii Fire Department by Phoenix V LLC, dba BEI Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, BEI, a distributor of pesticides, fertilizers, and industrial chemicals, has developed Risk <br /> Management Plans to mitigate the impact of unintended chemical spills and discharges, and has developed an <br /> Emergency Response Program with the Hawaii Fire Department Hazmat Teams; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chlorine Recovery Vessel and manuals, which have an estimated total value of <br /> $4,772, will be assigned to the West Hawaii Hazmat team and . <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br /> behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'1 that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to Mr. <br /> Geoffrey B.
