To investigate applications to ensure compliance to filing requirements; to ensure that the <br />applicant is fit and proper <br />to <br />hold a liquor license; to respond to public concerns relating to <br />the licensed premises. <br />2. To review and consider amendments to the rules and regulations of <br />the Commission and Board, <br />in response to <br />legislation <br />and <br />concerns of the industry. <br />3. To conduct inspections of premises to determine compliance with liquor <br />laws; to investigate <br />complaints involving licensed <br />premises; determine applicability of liquor laws. <br />4. To educate and inform licensees of liquor laws and related information which affects their <br />business. <br />5. To conduct hearings on violations of liquor laws, review procedures <br />and ensure compliance. <br />6. To review and amend procedures and services of the department to <br />ensure efficiency, including training of staff, Commission, <br />Board. <br />
