PROGRAM SUMMARY: FY 98-99 Request <br />DEPT: Public Works PROG. ACTIVITY: Automotive Division SUB -ACTIVITY OR DIST: N/A <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACTS <br />NEED/JUSTIFICATION: <br />VALUED AT $25,000 & ABOVE: <br />The Division is budgeted to automate the N. Kohala Baseyard <br />Misc. Contract Services (115) - Fuel System Upgrade, $60,000 <br />fueling facility. This includes the installation of the Gasboy <br />Telephone (102) - New Fuel System -1, $473 <br />Fleetkey System. By automating this facility, the Department will <br />have completed its automation plans. <br />Only one gaskey is needed to draw fuel at all automated facilities. <br />The facililites are open to County departments/agencies. <br />Without this automation, the fuel draws are recorded manually on <br />gas tags, totals compiled in one computer system, then inputted <br />into another for vehicle/history/billing information. <br />The telephone money is for the installation and monthly charges <br />for the fuel system lines. A modem is required for the S. Hilo <br />Administrative Office to retrieve/transmit data to the site; i.e., <br />polling every morning, checking the tank status, <br />validating/invalidating gaskeys, etc.) <br />s <br />22 <br />
