These funds, derived <br /> from federal funds, will be used to implement a project that includes: assignment of a <br /> deputy prosecuting attorney to be the Statewide Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor, <br /> providing statewide training for police and prosecutors, developing modular trial advocacy <br /> training for deputies, and participation at monthly statewide traffic commanders meetings. <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawai'i Department of Transportation for this grant. <br /> Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating <br /> this $78,033 Traffic Safety Training Project Grant. <br /> <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> William Ta caba <br /> Director of Finance <br /> APPROVED: <br /> <br /> <br /> (~4 <br /> ~Harry Kim <br /> Mayor A <br /> Comm.
