There were four votes in favor of the motion and two against. Because five votes are <br /> needed for the Planning Commission to take action, the four to two vote constitutes a "no action" <br /> by the Planning Commission. The "no action" itself constitutes an unfavorable recommendation. <br /> Therefore, the Planning Director's request is being forwarded to you with an unfavorable <br /> recommendation because of the time limits on the Planning Commission's review of such <br /> amendments. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
