No. 916/Res. 483-08 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Ben Franklin Bldg., 2"~ Floor <br /> <br /> TIME: 9:35 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works & Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred in <br /> Communication 916, regarding Resolution 483-08, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution 483-08, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, via <br /> Communication No. 916, dated December 28, 2007, accepting the dedication of Road Lots "A", <br /> "B" and "C," being portions of Tax Map Key: (3)7-3-005:165, situate in Kalaoa, North Kona, <br /> County and State of Hawaii, from Kaha`olino Partners, LLC. <br /> Kaha`olino Partners, LLC, is desirous of dedicating the subject roadways, including all <br /> subdivision improvements pursuant to Condition F of Ordinance No. 02-62 to the County of <br /> Hawaii. <br /> Article XIII, § 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts <br /> which include the dedication of land on behalf of the County of Hawaii. <br /> There was one comment from the public regarding the proposed acceptance. <br /> Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase appeared before your Committee. Mr. Takase <br /> commented that Kaha`olino Partners, LLC met all requirements and is in full compliance <br /> according to County of Hawaii standards. <br /> Your committee members commented on this proposed acceptance. Council Member Angel <br /> Pilago added that the impact connector roads have had to public safety in Kona since their <br /> opening has been positive. Council Member Dominic Yagong questioned the process in place to <br /> assure these roads are in full compliance according to County of Hawaii standards. Mr. Takase <br /> responded that certain procedures and records track the proposed road from its beginning wail <br /> the dedication to the County. <br /> <br />
