Kjer (Previously Harry and Daisy Hasegawa) <br /> Request: A-5a to CV-10 <br /> Tax Man Key: 7-5-17:20 <br /> <br /> The Planning Commission, after a duly held public hearing on February 20, 1998, voted to <br /> recommend for your approval the proposed legislative bill to change the district classification <br /> for approximately 12,432 square feet of land from Agricultural (A-5a) to Village Commercial <br /> (CV-10). The property is located at the northern side of the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway and <br /> Hualalai Road junction, Waiaha 1st, North Kona, Hawaii. <br /> <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone: <br /> <br /> In order to consider an area for any type of zoning designation, the applicable <br /> goals, policies and standards of the General Plan must be adequately addressed. It is <br /> only through such a comprehensive policy analysis approach that evaluations and <br /> decisions can be made to better time and stage developments to achieve growth <br /> determined by the General Plan and related planning documents. The implications of <br /> these evaluations and decisions must be also considered as they may have an impact on <br /> similar areas in the County. <br /> <br /> The Change of Zone from Agricultural 5-acre (A-5a) to Village <br /> Commercial-10,000 square feet (CV-10) zoned district will conform to the following <br /> General Plan Land Use Element's goals, policies and standards: <br />
