A verbal report to program staff may be substituted for written
evaluations if specific youths and adults feel more comfortable with oral reporting. All adult volun-
teers providing any program services will also be asked to complete a simple written evaluation of the
activity. Selected teachers and school staff will be interviewed regarding participant youths' behavior
and attitudes. Statistical data will also be kept by the program coordinators about the specific type
and number of services provided, number of service hours, number and -.ypp nf participants.

Output variables to be examined:
• The degree of youth utilization of program activities
• degree of parental participation in program activities
• degree of service satisfaction

Outcome variables to be examined:
• reduction in school offenses
• increase in basic skill acquisition

The program coordinators are responsible for gathering and analyzing data to measure qualitative
and quantitative program effectiveness.
