FIRM: The subject property is located within Zone X, an area of minimal tloodin2,. <br /> <br /> 19. Agricultural Lands of Importance to the State of Hawaii (ALISH) System: The <br /> property is "Unclassified". <br /> <br /> 20. U.S. Soil Survey: The soils are classified as Punaluu extremely rocky peat (rPYD) <br /> which consists of well-drained, thin organic soils over pahoehoe lava bedrock. The <br /> <br /> surface layer is black peat about 4 inches thick and is rapidly permeable. The <br /> pahoehoe lava is very slowly permeable, although water moves rapidly through the <br /> <br /> cracks. Runoff is slow and the erosion hazard is slight. The elevation of the property <br /> is about 1,350 feet above sea level and has a slope of 6 to 20 percent. These soils are <br /> <br /> used for pasture. <br /> 21. Land Study Bureau's Detailed Land Classification System: Soils within the subject <br /> <br /> property are classified as "D" (Poor). <br /> <br /> 22. Flora and Fauna: The natural vegetation occurring on the property consists of koa <br /> haole, Christmas berry, guineagrass, natal redtop and sand bur. <br /> <br /> 23. Archaeology: An archaeological study was not conducted. However, the applicant <br /> would be required to cease work should any unidentified sites or remains be found. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 24. Access: Access to the project site is off Kamoa Road which has right-of-way widths <br /> <br /> that vary between 25 to 40 feet with a 16 to 18-foot wide pavement. At the submittal <br /> of the application, back in 1985, the pavement width was approximately 10 feet. <br /> <br /> 25. Water: Water is available to the property. Water commitments have been paid, <br /> however, according to the Department of Water Supply, should the water commitment <br /> <br /> expire, existing water facilities cannot support the proposed subdivision. <br /> <br /> 26.
