REPORT OF TAE <br />COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS & <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS <br />DATE: April 20, 2004 RE: Communication No. 770.01/Bill No. 213, Draft 2 (1998) <br />PLACE: Councilroom <br />TIME: 9:03 a.m. <br />Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br />Communication No. 770.1 and attached Bill No. 213, Draft 2, reports as follows: <br />Communication No. 770.01 and attached Bill No. 213, Draft 2, is from Dominic Yagong, Chair, <br />Committee on Public Works and Parks (PWPC), dated June 1, 1998, requesting referral of both items to <br />the PWPC for consideration. <br />The purpose of Bill No. 213, Draft 2, is to establish a clear method and procedure for notifying affected <br />property owners at critical points in the condemnation process. <br />For informational purposes, the Council adopted PWPC Report 109 and passed Bill 213, Draft 2, on first <br />reading on July 15, 1998. The Council referred it back to the PWPC on August 5, 1998.
