Fauna and Flora Resources: According to the applicant's Environmental Report, <br /> "The site was graded many years ago and now, though vacant has been continuously <br /> <br /> mowed and maintained in this manicured condition. The site is primarily mowed <br /> grasses kept at a height less than 1 inch. There is a border of ironwood trees along the <br /> <br /> frontage with Kynnersley Road. There are three coconut palms and four plumeria trees <br /> located in this tree line as well. The only observed faunal activity was field mice, feral <br /> <br /> and domestic cats and domestic dogs." <br /> <br /> 18. Archaeological Resources: According to the applicant's Environmental Report, no <br /> historic sites were present on the parcel. The proposed action will not have any effect <br /> <br /> on significant historic sites. Nevertheless, a condition will be included to require the <br /> notification of the Department of Land and Natural Resources-Historic Preservation <br /> <br /> Division (DLNR-HPD) should archaeological sites be encountered during the course of <br /> development. <br /> <br /> 19. FIRM: The subject property is located within Zone X, area determined to be outside <br /> the 500-year flood plain. <br /> <br /> 20. Surrounding Zoning/Land Uses: Lands to the north are zoned Commercial (CV-10 <br /> <br /> and CN-10) and Single Family Residential (RS-15). Lands to the east and south of the <br /> subject property are zoned Single Family Residential (RS-15). Lands to the west are <br /> <br /> zoned Single Family Residential (RS-15) and Commercial (CV-10). The lands to the <br /> north, east and west have a mix of commercial and single family residential uses. The <br /> <br /> land to the south are in single family residential uses. <br /> PUBLIC FACILITIES AND CERVICES <br /> <br /> 21. Access: Access to the site is provided by Akoni Pule Highway, a state-owned highway <br /> with pavement width varying between 30 and 40 feet but with a road right-of-way width <br /> <br /> of 80 feet. <br /> <br /> -4- <br />
