The <br /> speed limit is currently posted at 40 mph. <br /> <br /> It has been brought to our attention that a number of school children congregate along this section of <br /> Kaloko Drive to wait for the school bus, and we concur that lowering the speed limit would improve <br /> overall traffic safety in the immediate area. A location map is attached. <br /> <br /> The Kona Police have been notified of our proposal, and they have no objections. <br /> <br /> We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment.
