Arakaki, Chairman: <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: RESOLUTION TO AMEND SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 98-51 <br /> <br /> Enclosed for Council action is a resolution to amend Salary Ordinance No. 98-51, <br /> Section 8.02(c) Mass Transportation Agency, Office of the Mayor. The resolution <br /> deletes Section 8.02(c) and renumbers the subsequent items in Section 8.02 Office of <br /> the Mayor. <br /> <br /> Section 76-77(1), Hawaii Revised Statutes, relating to civil service and exemptions, <br /> provides that positions in the Office of the Mayor are exempt from civil service, but <br /> that these positions shall be included in the position classification plan. Thus, pursuant <br /> to Section 76-77(1), HRS, classification action was taken to reallocate and to classify <br /> position no.
