We have approved a MOU <br />between your agency, Department of Liquor Control, County of Hawaii and the State of <br />Hawaii, Department of Defense in the amount of $25,500.00 to conduct the fallowing services: <br />1) Conduct a DAT training program on the elfcct3 of intoxicating liquors as it impacts at-risk behaviors <br />and to impart this information through the development of student/parent informational brochure. far <br />distribution during DAT presentations at our elementary schools as well as for general distribution. <br />2) Collaborate with Hawaii Community College Visual Arts Program to develop a prevention of <br />underage drinking media program for placement and viewing at various public infomaation venues <br />throughout the college. <br />3) Conduct merchant education and compliance checks at retail outlets with primary focus on licenses <br />located near school campuses #o ensure that licensees ate conducting valid >D checks and are not selling <br />liquor to minors. <br />We look forward to working with you and your agency and extend our best wishes for a <br />successful and collaborative effort in malting a drug and alcohol free environment for alI <br />the youth of Hawaii.
