NO. 438BILL NO. 123 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:05 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 438 <br /> and attached Bill No. 123, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Bill No. 123 is to amend the composition of the Veterans Advisory Committee <br /> by deleting the Fleet Reserve Association and adding Hawaii Island Veterans Memorial, Inc. <br /> Bill No. ] 23 would amend chapter 15, article 7, section 15-62(b), Hawaii County Code 1983, <br /> relating to the Veterans Advisory Committee, to read as follows: <br /> "(b) The membership of the committee shall include one representative each from the <br /> American Legion, Big Island National Guard Retirees Association, Big Island Retired <br /> Military Association, Club 100, Disabled American Veterans, [Fleet Reserve <br /> Association], Hawaii Island Veterans Memorial. Inc. 442nd Veterans Association, Hilo <br /> Interpreters Club[, Special Forces Association], Hawaii Island Women Veterans <br /> Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Veterans of the Vietnam War." <br /> Communication No. 438 is a letter from Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated <br /> August 7, 1997, which transmits Bill No. 123 to the County Council for its consideration. <br /> Your Committee amended Bill No. 123 by substituting Bill No. 123, Draft 2.
