In June, 1997, the <br /> representative from the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) <br /> resigned and stated that because their membership is composed <br /> of a few members scattered around the island, it does not <br /> justify representation on this committee. As such, it would <br /> not object to being removed as a mandated member. <br /> This bill would remove FRA as a required member and proposes to <br /> include the HAWAII ISLAND VETERANS MEMORIAL, INC., in its place. <br /> This new entity, formed in May, 1997, and composed of <br /> 12 members, is made up of women and men veterans representing <br /> all of the military branches. <br /> We request the Council's expeditious review and approval of <br /> this bill. <br /> Should you have any questions, you may call me at your earliest <br /> convenience. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> hen K amashiro <br /> YOR <br /> Oamra.
