BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />On July 21, 2008, FEMA approved (see attached) the County of Hawai'i, Department of Public Works' <br />(DPW) June 24, 2008, $250,000 Cooperative Technical Partners, Grant Application to do flood studies in <br />North Kona. The grant money will be used to supplement County funds in an effort to update FEMA <br />Floodplains in North Kona.
