Balog <br /> Chairman <br /> Planning Commission <br /> County of Hawaii <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: State Land Use Boundary Amendment and Change of Zone <br /> Application <br /> Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation (HICDC) <br /> Tax Map Key: 1-7-17: Portion of 3 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Balog: <br /> <br /> Please accept this letter as our written testimony objecting <br /> to the proposed change of the State Land Use boundary amenament <br /> request from Agriculture to Urban and the change of zone request <br /> from Agricultural - 1 acre to Single - Family Residential 10,000 <br /> by HICDC for the subject property. <br /> It is our belief that the present Agricultural - 1 acre zoning <br /> granted to the current landowners a few years ago is appropriate <br /> for this area. We strongly feel that approval of HICDC's proposed <br /> land use amendment and change of zoning will be very detrimental <br /> to the rural life style practiced and enjoyed by present area <br /> residents like ourselves.
