It is <br /> located within the Keonepoko Iki homestead, Pahoa, District of <br /> Puna, Island of Hawaii, the town of Pahoa, at the intersection of <br /> Kahakai Boulevard with the Pahoa Road. <br /> This request is to enable the applicant to sell the subject <br /> property as a commercially zoned (CN-20) parcel. The buyer of L:,,,- <br /> newly created 1.50 acre CN-20 property would be Duane R. Metcalf <br /> and Pahoa Auto Parts Inc. The town of Pahoa, where the subject <br /> prcperty is located is the main community of the lower Luna <br /> Listrict. <br /> PROJRCT DI?SCRIPTION <br /> The buyer of the property, Duane Metcalf, is proposing to <br /> construct a 2g00+ square foot Auto Parts Store. The building would <br /> be one story and should not exceed 25 feet in height, including the <br /> roof line. <br /> <br /> The sto;e, which is currently in operation in a leased <br /> building in Pahoa town would provide the usual range of auto parts <br /> and accessori:-s. It is anticipated that the opening of the stcre <br /> would be in 1999. <br /> The hours of operation are planned for 8am to 5:30pm daily <br /> with shorter hours on Sundays. <br /> <br /> The site is located on the corner of Kahakai Boulevard (a dead <br /> end road) and Old Pahoa Road. No access is planned from the Pai.oe <br /> road. Access would be via Kahakai Boulevard. <br /> Landscaping would be provided around the site to make the <br /> project visually compatible with the major roads surrounding the <br /> site. <br />
