PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />HEARING TRANSCRIPT <br />JULY 18, 2008 <br />A regularly advertised hearing on the application of STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT <br />OF ACCOUNTING AND GENERAL SERVICES (SLU 08-000019 and REZ 08-000078) <br />was called to order at 10:05 a.m. in the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa, Keauhou III and <br />IV, 78-128 Ehukai Street, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, with Chairman Rodney Watanabe presiding. <br />PRESENT: C. State Land Use Boundary Amendment for approximately 3.475 acres of land from the <br />Agricultural to the Urban District; and <br />b. Change of Zone for approximately 3.475 acres of land from Agricultural 20 -acre (A -20a) to <br />Single -Family Residential 15,000 square feet (RS -15). <br />The property is located approximately 600 feet north (makai) of Akoni Pule Highway (Highway <br />270) and also makai of Takata Store, Kapua and Puehuehu, North Kohala, Hawaii, TMK: 5-4-8: <br />portion 2. <br />WATANABE: We are now on — we're moving on time — Agenda Item No. 2. The <br />applicant is the State of Hawaii Department of Accounting and General Services. This will be <br />State Land Use 08-000019, along with REZ 08-000078. With that, I'll turn this over to Mr. <br />Darrow. <br />DAR -ROW: Good morning, Members of the Planning Commission, Mr. Chairman. If I <br />can direct your attention to the screen for the next presentation. The applicant in this request is <br />the Department of Accounting and General Services, State of Hawaii, referred to as DAGS. <br />They are requesting a State Land Use Boundary Amendment and a Change of Zone for 3.475 <br />acres of land.
