.- .. <br />Scope of Services <br />Hawaii County Participation in a Statewide <br />Sexual Violence Prevention Planning Process: <br />Coordination and Representation -Phase Two <br />The Department of Health (DOH) Maternal & Child Health Branch will continue to contract <br />for services relating to the planning and development of an initiative for the primary <br />prevention of sexual violence, as provided by the Sexual Violence Prevention and Education <br />Cooperative Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control. The contractor will convene a <br />stakeholder committee for the Hawaii County, coordinate the committee, and represent the <br />committee on a statewide Sexual Violence Prevention (SVPP) Planning Committee. <br />Primary prevention is defined as actions taken to prevent sexual violence BEFORE it <br />occurs. Actions to prevent sexual violence include: changes in social/community norms, <br />organizational culture, institutional policy, media messages, etc. For purposes of this grant, <br />victim services do not meet the criteria of primary prevention and are not included in this <br />planning process. <br />The Contractor shall complete the following services, hereinafter called Deliverables, and <br />may invoice for completed Deliverables, for a total of $14,900, according the dollar value <br />shown below: <br />Continue to organize, manage, and staff the Hawaii County Sexual Violence Primary <br />Prevention (SVPP) Stakeholders Committee. This includes: planning and convening <br />seven (7) monthly meetings of the committee and other community sessions to elicit <br />input and assure county-level participation in the development of a statewide sexual <br />violence prevention plan; recording and disseminating notes of the Hawaii County <br />SVPP Stakeholders Committee meetings; and disseminating meetings notes and <br />materials of the statewide SVPP Planning Committee to the Hawaii County SVPP <br />stakeholders Committee. <br />$12,900 <br />Represent the Hawaii County SVPP Stakeholders Committee at four (4) meetings of <br />the SVPP Planning Committee on Oahu (November 2008, and January, March, and <br />May 2009). $ 2,000 <br />Reports on deliverables shall be submitted with invoices for payment. The invoice amount <br />shall reflect the dollar value of the services completed and documented. <br />
