REQUEST: <br /> <br /> Request to amend Ordinance 08-79 Capital Improvement Budget, to add an appropriation for the following <br /> new project: <br /> North Kona Roads Planning- $275,000 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> A Project Data/Financial Impact Statement is attached. <br /> <br /> This appropriation implements the Kona CDP by enabling the necessary preliminary steps to initiate <br /> financing or to move priority roads to a design-ready stage. The Kona CDP identifies several major new <br /> connector roads for the North Kona area. There are several ways to initiate implementation such as the <br /> County advancing the costs to form a CFD, paying for a consultant to develop a consistent alignment to <br /> coordinate multiple landowners, or paying for the preliminary engineering and/or environmental reports to <br /> move the road to a design-ready stage.
