This <br />resolution will transfer a total of $10,000 from the Clerk-Council Services Contingency Relief <br />account to the Transfer to Housing Fund account for the Food Basket, Inc. (Hawai'i Island Food <br />Bank). The funds will be used to purchase food for programs that feed the homeless, indigent, <br />and hungry individuals and families. <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating a total of <br />$10,000 into the Food Basket, Inc. account. <br />For the purpose of having this appropriating bill proceed concurrently with the Council's transfer of <br />funds resolution pertaining to this appropriation for District 5, the Office of Housing and Community <br />Development would like to request a waiver from the Finance committee and have this bill heard <br />at the Council meeting scheduled for November 7, 2008. <br />If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of Housing and Community <br />Development. <br />F~- William akaba <br />o- Director of Finance <br />APPROOVED: <br />C/~~/l."""' <br />p Harry Kim <br />1 Mayor ./ <br />Enc.
