REQUEST: <br /> <br /> A resolution to establish an Account Clerk (SR-11) position in the Traffic Division's Support Staff section. <br /> This position will be funded thorough the existing Traffic Division Budget Highway Fund. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> The Account Clerk position is needed as part of the Traffic Division's re-organization efforts. Due to the <br /> increased number of mandates, projects, requests, and personnel along with establishing a new West <br /> Hawaii Facility, our support section is understaffed to handle the increased workload. The new Account <br /> Clerk position will assist the Sr. Account Clerk (00-04470) with accounting, fiscal and improved inventory <br /> matters. Without this position the Traffic Division would not be able to keep up with the increased demands <br /> of the Division as we are increasing staffing, adding on a Safety Section as well as adding both a West <br /> Hawaii Signs & Marking Section and a West Hawaii Signal & Street Light Section.
