The Kona Palisades and Kona Coastview Subdivisions although situated in the State <br /> Land Use Urban District aze primazily zoned A-Sa and aze essentially non-conforming residential <br /> sized lots ranging between 8,000 and 20,000 square feet. <br /> Your Committee concurs with the following reasons by the Planning Commission and the <br /> Planning Director for recommending a favorable consideration for the boundary amendment <br /> request: <br /> 1. The boundazy amendment is consistent with the State Land Use Commission <br /> Rules, the County General Plan and the Hawaii State Plan. <br /> 2. The boundary amendment conforms with the goals, policies and standazds of the <br /> General Plan. <br /> 3. The proposed reclassification is consistent with General Plan Land Use Pattern <br /> Allocation Guide (LUPAG) Map which designates the area for Urban Expansion. <br /> 4. The Kona Regional Plan recommends the area 1'or residential (four units per acre). <br /> 5.
