v <br />:1 ~ <br />Project Number 07-WF-02 <br />~~ <br />C O N T R A C T <br />THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br />indicated below, is effective as of December 1,.2008, by and <br />between the Department of the Attorney General, State .~.of--. .. <br />Hawaii, hereinafter called "Agency", by and through the <br />Attorney General, and Hawaii Police Department <br />hereinafter called "Grantee". <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and <br />Law Enforcement Act of 1994, 42 U. S. C. 3796 et seq., as <br />amended (hereinafter "Act"), was enacted to make grants to <br />states for developing and strengthening effective law <br />enforcement and prosecutorial strategies and victim services in <br />cases involving crimes against women. Offices and agencies of <br />~. <br />the state government, units of local government, Indian tribes, <br />and non-profit, non-governmental victim services programs are <br />eligible to apply to states for subgrants under the fourteen <br />broad purpose areas: <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />Rev. 06/07 ~ 1 <br />
