No. 1573/Res. No. 819-08 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 819-08, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 819-08, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 395 by Director of Finance William Takaba, via <br />Communication No. 1573, dated November 5, 2008, authorizes the Office of the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Crime Prevention and Justice <br />Assistance Division for a Law Enforcement Investigations Standby Pay grant for the Hawaii County <br />Police Department. <br />The State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance <br />Division is awarding $46,904 towards another Law Enforcement Investigations Standby Pay Grant for the <br />Hawaii County Police Department. The grant's goal is to improve the department's ability to respond to <br />violent crimes against women.
