Yamashiro dated February 19, 1997, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Communication No. 164 is to recommend the appointment of the following <br /> individuals as members of the Kailua Village Design Commission: <br /> Ms. Vonnie Lyons, Mr. Lloyd S. Nakano, and Mr. Garrett Webb, are nominated to fill the <br /> vacancies created by the expired terms of Ms. Fanny Au Hoy, Mr. Gregory G. Ogin and <br /> Mr. J. Curtis Tyler, for terms ending December 31, ] 999. <br /> Ms. Lyons, a 43-year resident of Hawaii, was employed by Kamehameha Investment <br /> Corporation as the Managing Director of the Keauhou Visitors Association (1975-1994). <br /> Mr. Nakano, a 36-year resident of Hawaii, is the General Manager of the King <br /> Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel since 1996. He was employed by the Kona Village <br /> Resort (1994-1996) and the Four Seasons Regent Hotels and Resorts (1988-1994). <br /> Mr. Webb, a ] 9-year resident of llawaii, is aself-employed landscaper DBA Kalaoa <br /> Gardens since 1987. <br /> Pursuant to Article 7 ,Chapter 25 of the Hawaii County Code, the mayor shall appoint members <br /> to the commission to be confirmed by the Council, as prescribed in Section 25-7-2 of the Hawaii <br /> County Code. <br /> Mr. Webb was the only appointee present. <br /> Your Committee on Planning recommends the approval of the appointment of Ms. Vonnie <br /> Lyons, Mr. Lloyd S.
