<br />HPD ROADBLOCK PROGRAM <br />PAGE2 <br />2. Initiated 11 arrests for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicant <br />(OVUII) at grant funded checkpoints during the fourth quarter. Initiated 20 <br />arrests for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicant (OVUII) at ' <br />county funded checkpoints during the fourth quarter. <br />Initiated 51 arrests for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of an <br />Intoxicant (OVUII) at grant funded checkpoints and 77 (OVUII) arrests at <br />county funded check points in the FFY 2008. <br />3. Initiated 13 arrests for other violations at grant-funded checkpoints during the <br />fourth quarter. Initiated 15 arrests for other violations at county funded <br />checkpoints during the fourth quarter. <br />Initiated 25 arrests for other violations at grant funded checkpoints and 59 <br />arrests for other violations at county funded checkpoints in the FFY 2008. <br />4. Issued 12 moving citations, 1 child restraint citation, 1 seatbelt citations and 17 <br />other citations for violations at grant funded checkpoints in the fourth quarter. <br />Issued 12 speeding citations, 48 moving citations, 7 seatbelt citations, 11 cliild <br />restraint citations and 89 other citations for violations at county funded <br />checkpoints during the fourth quarter. <br />Issued 36 moving citations, 2 child restraint citations, 2 seatbelt citations, 3 <br />speeding citations, and 211 other citations for violations at grant funded <br />checkpoints. Total grant funded citations for FFY 2008 is 254. Issued one <br />speeding citation, 21 seatbelt citations, 35 child restraint citations, 78 moving <br />citations, and 291 moving citations for violations at county funded <br />checkpoints during the FFY 2008. Total county funded 'citations issued for <br />the FFY 2008 is 426. <br />5. Screened 1,727 vehicles at grant-funded projects in the fourth quarter. Screened <br />2,990 vehicles at county funded checkpoints during the fourth quarter. <br />Screened 9,925 vehicles at grant funded projects and 9,284 vehicles at county <br />funded checkpoints during the FFY 2008. Total vehicles screened during <br />the FFY are 19,209. <br />6. Sergeant(s) Kelly Kaaumoana-Matsumoto and Christopher Gali attended the <br />National Lifesaver's Conference in April 2008. The Prosecutor's Office has <br />apprised HPD that they have acquired grant funds to send (2) Deputy Prosecutors <br />to the National Lifesaver's Conference. <br />7: The National Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Conference was scheduled for <br />August 2008. HPD sent officers Marvin Troutman and Norbert Serrao to the <br />conference. <br />
