This appointment was effective at <br /> noon on December 1, 2008. <br /> <br /> Mr. Takaba has been the Director of Finance of the County of Hawaii from December 4, 2000 to December <br /> 1, 2008. Prior to then, he worked for the County's Office of Aging as the Executive on Aging, as well as <br /> serving as Director of Finance under Mayor Lorraine Inouye from 1990 to 1992. <br /> <br /> Mr. Takaba will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on December 3, 2012. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your favorable consideration of this appointment.
