Lee as a <br /> County of Hawaii Director of Public Works, pursuant to the charter of the County of Hawaii. <br /> This appointment was effective December 8, 2008. <br /> Mr. Lee was President of Hawaii Electric Light Company from July 1991 to March 2008, and <br /> served in various engineering and management positions with Hawaiian Electric Company from <br /> 1972 to 1990. <br /> i <br /> He is also Vice-Chair of the Hawaii Island United Way 2008 Campaign, and Co-Chair of the <br /> Hawaii Island United Way 2008 Mayor's Cup. <br /> Mr. Lee will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end December 3, 2012. <br /> Thank you for your favorable consideration of this appointment.
