No. 250 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 250, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 250, transmitted by Planning Director Virginia Goldstein, via Communication <br /> No. 776, dated Mazch 20, 1998, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal yeaz for a <br /> consultant services contract to prepare an economic assessment report as part of the general plan <br /> revision program. <br /> As the Planning Department has commenced with the Hawaii County General Plan Revision <br /> Program, the department will be hiring a consultant to do an assessment and update of the <br /> economic assumptions, framework and elements of the plan. The 1997-98 FY budget included <br /> $50,000 to do such a contract; however, this figure is inadequate to cover the contract cost. An <br /> additional $25,000 has been requested in this yeaz's budget.
