The property is located approximately 200 feet east of Highway 11 (Volcano Road) in the vicinity of the Highway 11- Kuaaina Road intersection, Keaau, Puna, Hawaii, TMK: 1-7-016:028. PROPOSED ACTION 1. Request: Change of Zone from Single-Family Residentia120,000 square feet (RS-20) to Single-Family Residential 15,000 square feet (RS-15). The request, if approved, would allow the subdivision of the property into two lots, one lot approximately 18,770 square feet in size (Lot 12-A), and the other (Lot 12-B) approximately 17,080 square feet in size. The property is co-owned by the applicant, her husband, and the applicant's pazents. As part of estate planning, the applicant requests-the rezoning to subdivide the property should there be any issues as to ownership after the parents' passing. The applicant proposes to convert the two existing dwellings on proposed Lot 12-A into a single family dwelling unit by connecting the two structures and removing the kitchen in one of the two dwellings.
