The property is not proximate to the <br />shoreline and not situated within the Special Management Area. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT SITE AND SURROUNDING AREA <br />9. Subject Property: The property is located in the Olaa Houselots Subdivision and is <br />approximately 35,850 square feet in size. There are two existing dwellings, storage <br />sheds, and an aviary on the pazcel. According to Real Property Tax records, one dwelling <br />was constructed in 1949, the other, in 2006. <br />10. Surrounding Zoning and Land Uses: Adjacent properties to the north and <br />south/southwest are zoned RS-20, and properties to the east/southeast are zoned A-la. <br />Parcels surrounding the property are vacant or in residential uses. <br />11. U.S.D:A. Soil Type: OAC, Olaa silty clay loam, 0 to 10 percent slopes. The surface <br />layer is very dark brown extremely stony silty clay loam about 16 inches thick. <br />Permeability is rapid, runoff is slow, and the erosion hazard is slight. <br />12. ALISH: Unclassified. i'>_ <br />13. Land Study Bureau's Productivity Rating: Unclassified. ~_ <br />14. FII2M: Zone "X", an area outside of the 500-yeaz flood plain. <br />15. Flara/Fauna: As the property is improved, no professional surveys were conducted of <br />the site. The applicant states that there are no known endangered species on the pazcel. <br />The property is improved with two dwellings-and landscaping. <br />16. Archaeological/Cultural/Historical Resources: No professional archaeological survey <br />or cultural assessments were conducted of the property. According to the applicants, the <br />parcel is not listed on either the National or State Register of Historic Places, and there <br />are no known archaeological, cultural or historic sites on the property.. In a letter dated <br />June 3, 2008, the Department of Land and Natural Resources Historic Preservation <br />Division (DLNR-HPD) has stated that "rezoning of the property will not result in any <br />additional impacts to historic properties, if they exist on the property." In a letter dated <br />Octoberl4, 2008, the DLNR-HPD has stated that "residential development/urbanization <br />has altered the land; previous grubbing/grading has altered the land." <br />-2- is <br />
