No. 609Bi11 No. 173 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 11:00 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 173, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Bill No. 173, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 609, <br /> dated November 25, 1997, amends Chapter 24, Article 4, Section 24-20 of the Hawaii County <br /> Code, 1993 Edition, as amended, relating to motor vehicle driver's licensing fees. <br /> <br /> Bill No. 173 amends the Hawaii County Code to provide for asix-year driver's license with both <br /> a first-time and renewal fee of $18. This measure also increases the application for driver's <br /> license permit from $5 to $10. <br /> Members of Your Committee questioned the need to increase the application for instruction <br /> permit fee, and our County's conformity with the other counties.
