COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />98 10 <br />BILL NO. 173 <br />(DRAFT 3) <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 4, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY <br />CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), AS AMENDED, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE <br />DRIVER'S LICENSING FEES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 24, Article 4, Section 24-20, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, <br />(1995 Edition), relating to motor vehicle driver's permit and license fees, is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />"Section 24-20. Motor vehicle driver's permit and license fees. <br />The following fees are established for the application and renewal of motor <br />vehicle instruction permits and driver's licenses: <br />(a) Application for instruction permit, [$5] $10. <br />(b) Application driver's license or out -of -[State] state transfer: <br />(1) Application for driver's license (not chargeable if applicant presents <br />evidence of having paid to Hawaii County the application for instruction <br />permit fee), $1. <br />(2) Application for out -of -[State] state transfer with a valid out -of -[State] <br />state license, $4. <br />(c) Reinstatement fee (payable upon the restoration of any license which has been <br />suspended), $20. <br />(d) Driver's license valid for two years, $6. <br />(e) Renewal of driver's license valid for two years, $6. <br />(f) Driver's license valid for four years, $12. <br />(g) Renewal of driver's license valid for four years, $12. <br />(h) [Duplicate license, $5.] Driver's license valid for six years. $18. <br />(i) [Road test fees (categories 1,2, and 3), $5; (category 4), $50.] Renewal of <br />driver's license valid for six years. $18. <br />(j) Reactivation fee for each 30 -day period after the 90 -day grace period for renewal <br />within one year of expiration. $5. <br />(k) Duplicate license. $5. <br />(1) Road test fees (categories 1.2. and 3), $5: (category 4). $50. <br />(m) Written test fee. $1. <br />(n) Oral examination fee. $10." <br />SECTION 2.
