FC-3 Page 3 February 3, 2009 Comm. 106: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF PROFESSIONAL AND (Res. 45-09) EXPERTISE SERVICES (VALUED UP TO $15,000) FROM THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS, AS PART OF THEIR 2009 SUSTAINABLE DESIGN ASSESSMENT TEAM PROGRAM; and (Res. 46-09) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DESIGN ASSESSMENT TEAM PROGRAM; and (Bill 22) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 08-78, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2009 (appropriates revenues of $5,000 to the Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) Program Grant account) From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated January 21, 2009, transmitting the above resolutions and bill, which implements the funds received from the American Institute of Architects, with a host community match of $5,000, for the SDAT program grant applied for by VisionKeepers of Envision Downtown Hilo 2025. Comm. 107: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19, ARTICLE 11, SECTION 19-90, (Bill 23) AND ARTICLE 10, SECTIONS 19-75 AND 19-89.5, HAWAII COUNTY CODE (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO THE DETERMINATION OF REAL PROPERTY TAX RATES (RPTR) {major changes are as follows: 1) requires notification in two newspapers of general circulation rather than one; 2) deletes the 10 day minimum notice requirement of the RPTR public hearing; 3) deletes the requirement to re-advertise and reconvene within three weeks of the public hearing; and 4) deletes the requirement to repeat steps 1 and 2 should the Council decrease or increase the rates, and replaces it with a requirement to publish the new rates in two newspapers of general circulation From Deputy County Clerk Rodney Oshiro, dated January 21, 2009, transmitting the above bill. Comm. 112: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 08-78, AS AMENDED, THE (Bill 26) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2009 {appropriates additional funds of $11,136 into the Hawaii County Police Department's Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Standby Pay Grant account to be used to compensate the SAFE nurses who are on standby status and waiting to conduct an examination on victims of sexual assault at any time of the day or week From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated January 15, 2009, transmitting the above bill.
