"'.' .. . . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HA WAIl that it authorizes the County Administration to participate in the demonstration "Quarantine Program". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Administration is further authorized to enter into a five year lease with Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate for lands to be utilized for the "Quarantine Program". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Administration be authorized to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with DOA and the University of Hawaii to describe the responsibilities to be undertaken by each agency to implement the Papaya Quarantine Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Administration is further authorized to license said lands to permittees in accordance with the selection process established by the "Quarantine Program". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be transmitted to the Honorable Stephen K. Yamashiro, Mayor of the County of Hawaii; Mr. James Nakatani, State Department of Agriculture; Trustees of Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate; Mr. Harold Masumoto, RCUH, and Ms. Diane Quitiquit, Director of Research and Development, County of Hawaii.
