COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />53 ®9 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A VEHICLE FOR THE HAWAII FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation has donated a new 2008 Toyota Tacoma <br />Crew Cab 4-Door 4-Wheel Drive Pick Up Truck with a TRD off-road package to the Hawaii Fire <br />Department; and <br />WHEREAS, this vehicle, valued at $28,856.02, will be assigned to the Waiakea Fire Rescue <br />Station; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br />behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of <br />Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to <br />the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation, P.O.
