Kaiminani Drive (Rte 198) Resurfacing, 3.6 miles $6,000,000 <br />HC 05. Kamehameha Avenue (Rte 1910) Resurfacing, Wailoa Bridge to <br />Ponahawai Street $7,000,000 <br />HC 06. Kawailani (Rte 2760)/Pohakulani /Ainaola (Rte 2750) & <br />Kawailani (Rte 2760)/Iwalani (Rte 2770) Intersection Improvements $2,500,000 <br />HC 18. Palani Road/Kamakaeha Avenue Intersection Improvements $5,000,000 <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />These projects will be 100% funded by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) stimulus money <br />as shown on the State Department of Transportation (DOT), Statewide transportation Program <br />(STIP) Revision #6 for the County of Hawaii (copy attached). Go to <br />htto://hawaii.gov/dot/highways/STIP/fv2008-2013-revisions.htm Revision #6 at the bottom of the <br />webpage for the latest information. <br />We are requesting to waive hearing this Bill at the Finance Committee and proceed directly to <br />Council, as the project will be subject to FHWA/DOT time constraints.
