Mende of Council District 3 to the Hawaii <br />County Police Commission. Mr. Mende is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. Since <br />2005, he has been employed by American Savings Bank, specializing in business <br />banking. From 2002 to 2005 he was employed by Central Pacific Bank and prior <br />to that, from 1992 to 2002 he was employed by Bank of Hawaii. <br />Mr. Mende is the treasurer of the Boys and Girls Club. He is also a board member <br />of both the Hawaii Island United Way and Junior Achievement. Mr. Mende states <br />that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to <br />end on December 31, 2012, filling a position that has been vacant since <br />December 31, 2007. <br />Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your <br />convenience.
