<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />BILL NO. 2Q <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />97 27 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE <br />1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO OPERATION OF VEHICLES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 7, division 3, section 24-153.4 <br />(permits; issuance; procedure), of the Hawaii County Code, is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 24-153.4. Permits: issuance: procedure. <br /> <br />(a) The procedure for issuance of a permit under <br />section 24-153.3 shall be as follows: <br /> <br />(1) Every person requesting a permit under <br />section 24-153.3 herein shall submit an <br />application in writing to the chief of police or <br />his authorized representative no later than <br />thirty days preceding the date of the proposed <br />event or activity. (Exception: Permits for <br />construction activities shall be submitted at <br />least fourteen (14) days before the date of the <br />activitv.) The application shall describe the <br />type of event or activity, date, time, number of <br />persons participating, number and types of <br />vehicles, floats or other equipment, and <br />location. A detailed description of the location <br />shall be submitted, together with a map or <br />drawing showing ~he streets or other public <br />right-Of-way affected and any alternate routes of <br />travel which may be utilized. <br /> <br />(2) Copies of the application shall be forwarded by <br />the chief of police or his authorized <br />representative to all other affected agencies. <br />Said agencies will have a periOd of seven days in <br />which to submit comments and/or recommendations <br />to the chief of police. <br />
