COUNTY OF HAWAII ' STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 91 ORDINANCE NO. 97 97 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 (TRAFFIC SCHEDULE), OF THE HA WAIl COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HA WAIl: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-255, schedule 3 (25 mile per hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: o Kamaoa Road. from Route 11 to a point 0.4 mile west. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-256, schedule 4 (30 mile per hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: o Kamaoa Road. from a point 0.4 mile west of Route 11 for a distance of 2.6 miles towards South Point Road. SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-259, schedule 7 (40 mile per hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: o Kamaoa Road. from a point 3 miles west of Route 11 to South Point Road. SECTION 4. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring need not be included. SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. -1-
