Access: Primary access to the property is from Olowalu Street, which has two through <br /> lanes within a 60-foot wide right-of-way. There are two existing driveways from the <br /> <br /> property onto Olowalu Street. A secondary access is available to the property via an <br /> existing driveway at Kamanu Street, which also has two through lanes within a 60-foot <br /> <br /> right-of-way along the property frontage. The Department of Public Works (DPW) has <br /> restricted access at the Kamanu Street driveway to allow only right turn in and out <br /> <br /> movements. The DPW has also prohibited access to Hina Lam Street which runs along <br /> the property's north border. All three of these roadways are County owned and <br /> <br /> maintained. Planning Department Exhibit 2, Traffic Circulation and Roadway <br /> Improvement Plan for the Kaloko Industrial Park Subdivision Phase III and IV shows <br /> <br /> the layout of these roadways in relation to the subject property. <br /> 30. Water: County water is available to the site. <br /> <br /> 31. Wastewater: The property has a cesspool that has been approved by the Environmental <br /> <br /> Protection Agency (EPA). In addition, two separate 1,500-gallon Aerobic Treatment <br /> Plants (ATP) were approved by the Department of Health on July 10, 2007. According to <br /> <br /> the applicant, one ATP is awaiting final hook-up and the absorption beds for both <br /> systems have been installed and approved. The second ATP will be installed during the <br /> <br /> construction of Phase II. <br /> 32. Solid Waste: Solid waste will be handled by a private contractor. <br /> <br /> 33. Essential Utilities and Services: Electricity and telephone services are available to the <br /> site. The Kealakehe Police Station is located approximately two miles from the project <br /> <br /> site, and fire protection is provided by the Kailua-Kona Fire Station located less than 5 <br /> miles from the property. The Kona Medical Center is located in Kealakekua, <br /> <br /> approximately ten miles from the site. <br /> AGENCIES' AND ORGANIZATIONS' COMMENTS <br /> <br /> 34.
